Overview

Punctualiti is a facility management software used by corporates, offices, vendors, and schools to manage assets and related tasks. The project’s primary goal was to redesign the user interface and improve the overall usability. Among the many modules I worked on, this case study focuses specifically on how I designed a form builder capable of creating highly customizable and complex forms, addressing the limitations of the existing manual processes.

Problem Statement

The existing Punctualiti system had no scalable or customizable form-building feature, relying heavily on manual creation through Excel sheets or documents. The need for flexibility in creating and managing forms for various modules was paramount. Admin required a system where they could create, edit, customize, and manage forms independently, without involving developers.

Research and Understanding

Before diving into the design process, I conducted thorough research to understand both the user requirements and the functionality of other popular form builders in the market. The objective was to create an intuitive, customizable, and flexible form builder that met the complex needs of Punctualiti's users.

Key Pain Points and Requirements (Based On Interviewing Punctualiti Admin)

Ideation and Approach

I adopted a solution-oriented methodology for this project. The first step was to redesign the forms that already existed in the system, then I analyzed each form’s unique requirements and pain points to create a form builder that could handle these complexities. I also reviewed popular form builders to identify key features that worked well and elements that could be improved to better suit Punctualiti's needs.
